When connecting from your computer to the frame over the local network (this method is also called “Samba”), for security reasons there is a password to enter together with a user name.
This password can be changed from the frame’s menu going to:
Change settings
then to
ABOUT
then click on the MENU button on the remote control and enter a new one then confirm.
Samba is a very convenient and easy way to directly copy pictures from a computer directly to the frame’s internal memory.
