Does the Nexfoto digital photo frame use a touchscreen?
The Nexfoto digital photo frame uses a touchscreen to navigate the frame, adjust settings, move through slideshows, etc. It’s a multi-touch display, meaning that more than one touch can register at the same time, allowing features like pinch-to-zoom.
We rarely recommend buying a digital photo frame with a touchscreen. In Nexfoto’s case, a touchscreen isn’t a good choice. The glossy is easily overwhelmed by fingerprints and scratches very easily. It’s bad to the point that just after a week or two of standard usage, you’ll start to notice small scratches. This detracts a lot from immersion and the high-resolution display.
To add to the fire, touchscreen displays are very expensive on digital frames with displays larger than 8-inches. Since Nexfoto sells several digital frames larger than 8-inches (10-inch, 13-inch, 15-inch, and 17-inch), touchscreens become very expensive, particularly on their higher-resolution frames.
The higher cost of the touchscreen is often offset by sacrificing other features like remote configuration support, free cloud storage, etc. These are rarely worth sacrificing as they are the primary features that bring digital photo frames out of the past and make them capable of catering to the modern home and family.

Can my Nexfoto digital photo frame play videos?
The Nexfoto digital photo frame can play videos as long as they are 30-seconds or shorter. Note that you can’t play videos in slideshows alongside photos. You can choose to display either photos or videos. You can play the audio that was recorded with the video but can’t play standalone audio files (over slideshows for example).
For comparison, Pix-Star’s frames are similarly priced, offering both 10-inch and 15-inch versions. Pix-Star’s digital photo frames can play 2-minute video clips and you can include these clips in slideshows alongside photos.
